Farabow Angus

Farabow Angus is a family owned operation that focuses on raising quality Angus cattle.  Farabow Angus is owned and operated by Jordan Farabow along with his wife Jessica. What started as a small registered herd of 10 bred cows bought from Yon Family Farms back in Fall of 2013 has now grown to over 150 head of brood cows (90 commercial and 60 registered cows).  Farabow Angus has increased the use of artificial insemination and embryo transfer over the last 5 years. These advanced technologies have helped us to advance the genetic makeup of our herd and provide our customers with a strong and proven product. Currently, Farabow Angus markets 20 registered Angus bulls a year private treaty and a select group of top of the pen commercial heifers. Jordan also produces row crops of corn, cotton, and peanuts. These byproducts are used in feeding our herd and the development of our bulls and females. The bulls are developed on a forage based diet and have been developed with the commercial cattlemen in mind! Our goal is to produce the best maternal cow that we can. We want cattle that are maternal, fertile, and maintain structural soundness. We believe that if we are breeding cattle for this purpose then the byproduct of that is producing good masculine bulls that will help produce these types of cattle for our customers. The bulls we offer have all data from performance data to genomic DNA data done on them so we can give our customers the most information on our product. We believe we can consistently produce a uniform product that will fit our customers’ needs and offer genetics that are desired by commercial cattlemen.
